University Undergraduate Chemistry and Physics Education: (1980-1981) at the faculty of Science, Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt.

University Undergraduate Medical Education: (1980-1987) All medical and surgical teaching undertaken at the faculty of medicine and Cairo University Hospitals, Cairo, Egypt.

Postgraduate Education: (1989-1997) All medical and surgical practice undertaken at the Cairo University Hospitals, Cairo, Egypt.

Bachelor in medicine & surgery (MB-BCH): November 1987 (V. Good with the degree of honor), Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University.

 

Master in General Surgery (M.Sc.):  May 1992 (Excellent), Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. “Pseudo-tumor Cerebri” was the thesis submitted for partial fulfillment of Master degree.  

 

Doctor Degree in Neurosurgery (M.D): May 1997, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University. “Trans-sphenoidal surgery” was the thesis submitted for partial fulfillment of M.D degree.

Postgraduate Training Internship (House officer): Appointed as an intern at Cairo University Hospitals from 1-3-1988 to 28-2-1989; General Surgery (2 months), Special Emphasis – Neurosurgery (2 months).

 

Resident in neurosurgery:  Appointed as a resident in neurosurgery at Cairo university hospitals from 18-3-1989 to 18-3-1992.

 

Clinical demonstrator of neurosurgery:  faculty of medicine, Cairo University;   from 14-5-1994 to 30-10-1994.

 

Assistant lecturer in neurosurgery:  department of neurosurgery, Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University; from   1-11-1994 to 27-10-1997.
